Privacy Notice

This notice describes how Seneca County Released Inmates handles information supplied by visitors, technical data created during a visit, and data sent to outside search providers. It also explains why that information may be used, the limited circumstances in which it may be disclosed, and the choices visitors have. By using this site, you accept the practices stated here. Separate privacy terms apply after you follow a link to the Seneca County Sheriff, an Ohio agency, or another outside service.

Information You Submit

Terms Entered in Search Tools

When a visitor enters a name, place, or other term in a search tool, the entry is transmitted to the third-party company that operates that tool. Seneca County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy practices govern the query after it is sent.

Messages Sent to Us

If you email us or submit a message through a contact feature, we retain the information needed to read and answer it. We do not share a message outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law. A message sent here does not reach the Seneca County Sheriff's Office, the Seneca County Jail, ODRC, or a court.

Technical Data Collected Automatically

Routine server, analytics, and advertising technologies may record basic technical details when a page loads. Those details can include:

  • The internet protocol address used for the visit

A public-record request submitted to an Ohio public office is handled by that office under applicable law, including the Ohio Public Records Act, ORC 149.43, rather than under this notice.

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted personal information may use the Contacts page to request its deletion.

Subject to applicable law and the nature of the request, a visitor may ask us to:
